  • Anonymous : What would you suggest on those who had the "passion" to do art but end up losing them because of he/she found out that lost their flame on doing art?

    armandserrano:

A little bit of word study before I answer your question. You have to understand that passion goes hand in hand with zeal. You cannot have one without the other. Passion came from Latin meaning “to suffer.” Zeal on the other hand came from Greek meaning “to boil.” So if you are saying you lost your “ability to work to the point of suffering,” it means you are not “boiling” anymore. My question I have for you now is, “What made you boil before?” Maybe it’s time to seek again for those catalysts that inspired you for art - that “flame” you mentioned. Be around people that share the same passion with you. Open the books that drive you to draw. It’s only you who can make the boiling happen again. It has to be intentional. Don’t expect change if you keep doing the same thing. Time to start moving forward my friend.
